About this page
The tail is the whole point of a turkey page. A fanned tail gives a child twelve or fifteen separate feather shapes in a semicircle, which means a lot of small decisions inside one large, forgiving outline. That keeps a six-year-old busy for a quarter of an hour without asking for help.
The feathers here are split with a single line at the tip, so each one reads as two colours — the natural way kids colour a turkey anyway. Outlines are uniform and closed, which matters when someone presses hard with a wax crayon and the colour still stops where the shape ends.

Questions
Is this the same as the Thanksgiving turkey page?
It is a different drawing. That page includes a pumpkin and leaves; this one is the turkey alone, with a fuller tail, which prints larger on the sheet.
What ages is it best for?
About 3 to 9. Younger children colour the body in one colour and leave the tail; older ones treat each feather as its own shape.
Can I print it for a class?
